2 pounds of pigeon mix

Soak beans and pigeon mix in water for 24 hours prior to cooking.

To cook, cover completely with water and bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 30-45 minutes. Careful not to over cook or burn.

Veggie ideas-

(Fresh and/or frozen, do not use canned veggies.)

Peas

Corn

Carrots

Spinach

Broccoli

Yams

Zucchini

Yellow squash

Other ingredients-

Canned hominy

Cooked and uncooked pasta

Cheerios

Shredded wheat

Asian noodles

Gold fish crackers

Raisins/craisins  and/or other dried fruit

Harrisons/Roudybush Pelleted Diet

Red peppers whole or flaked

Manudo seasoning

Add all ingredients together, leaving cereals and crackers for last so they don’t soak up too much wetness.  Mix thoroughly, separate into portions.

Food can be frozen.

Food will last in the fridge for 4 days.

Feed daily. Do not leave in cage for more than 12 hours.

This recipe makes a very large batch, it can be cut in half and/or adjusted to your birds needs.

Remember, this is just a guide.  Experiment, have fun with it, and adjust the recipe to fit the season, event, or your bird.
